Fear of the dark!

Just yesterday, I ran to my sister's place to give her a list of books that needed to be returned to the library. Went with her, spent some time at her place and then came home around 1am in the morning or night (some people say it either ways)...listening to Iron Maiden's FEAR OF THE DARK on my iPOD!...

It was pitch dark outside...
Not a soul on the road...

Have you ever been alone at night
Thought you heard footsteps behind

And turned around and no-one's there ?
And as you quicken up your pace
You find it hard to look ag
ain
Because you're sure there's someone there

Suddenly, I heard a rustling sound in the bushes...
Something crawled past me...
A dark huge monstrous shadow...
Something I had never seen before...
I ran and it followed me...
I quickened up my pace and at the end of it all...I saw that it was a skunk that was trying to run away from me, and its shadow kept growing bigger just because the light was angled at it in such a way!...
PHEWW!!!!...i took a breather and went home!

Have you run your fingers down the wall
And have you felt your neck skin crawl
When you're searching for the light ?

Sometimes when you're scared to take a look
At the corner of the room

You've sensed that something's watching you.

Reached home, threw the keys on the couch...
Reached to turn on the lights...but they wouldnt turn on...
Something was not right...
I felt shadows in my room...the moonlight from the window making it even more creepier...
I went to take a look...

Suddenly, I heard that same rustling sound again...
The one I heard in the bushes...it was outside my window...and its shadow grew taller...

CLICK!...i heard the sound of a camera's flash...

The lights went on...
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

This was the creepiness I felt in the room!...
My sister called me to distract me when my friends were arranging a surprise for me at home!!!...

What a night?!...

Vertigo

Dizzy, delirious, lost, unbalanced...
This is how it feels...

Weak, drained out, out of control, no feeling of appetite...
This is how it feels...

A vicious circle revolving in front of your eyes...
This is how it feels...

No proper frame of mind, a feeling that I will die...
This is how it feels...

Stressed out, sick...
This is how it feels...

Fear of heights, no proper balanced diet (extra salt or spice), a disturbed sleep cycle...
This is what causes it...
No roller coaster heights, no titanic like pose on the top of the Empire state building or the Eiffel tower, no total foodieness, less spice, less salt, proper and balanced sleep...
This is what it causes...

A nice friendly yelling, a strong will, motivation to bring it under control, an experience with the devil himself (Vertigo), adventurous but cautious, salty but with a tinge of acid to balance it... The antidote for the venom!

MANimal

News: A man was slaughtered to death by four people.
News: Terrorists massacre 40 people.
People reading this start commenting: These terrorists, these politicians, they are such animals ...they have no heart, no feelings, no respect, no education.

Boy hits girl, thugs harass people...what do we say "Shut up you dog!"

Why do we say such things?
It is because we read about it or associate with it.
We see mad dogs attacking people, snake bites shown on national geographic, lions and tigers eating gazelles and deers, even a mantaray that killed Steve Irwin (the croc hunter)...

Why do we insult these innocent creatures for deeds that we do?
A lion kills a deer for its survival, a dog attacks someone only when it is provoked unnecessarily...and isnt it touted as being MAN's BEST FRIEND for its loyalty, the power of sixth sense stronger than even a bond that exists between a man and a woman!...

Referring to terrorists as animals and heartless is baseless and an insult to the animals because they do it for stupid reasons...like the grounds of religion, revenge and what not!

If YOU think I am wrong...watch this...hear this...
A lion hugs its rescuer and kisses him
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5JigvI-mWig

A leopard (carnivore) cuddles a baby baboon because it sees it being lonely and in distress...

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEm5sJL66hU

A panther and a dog are best of friends and the dog plays mother to it when it was small...

Believe this: I came face to face with a cobra when I was small...it stood with its hood up high...
my uncle sprinkled rice on it and put a cup of milk in front of it...it drank the milk and went away although I was trying to play with it.

Moral: Stop cursing these innocent creatures, stop killing them, stop harassing them
The fault lies in us humans. The animals are not devoid of emotions...their inability to express them the way is not their fault...it is upto us "apparently BRAINY" humans to pick up their signals!
Cursing them for deeds we do is not the solution...Worship them! (the cobra incident above), learn to be greatful (the lion incident) and learn to love and care( the lion incident and the leopard and the baboon).!

Rock n Roll...

I always heard my dad listening to Bee Gees "Staying Alive"...which got me grooving...although I could never dance...
friends at school would dance to the tunes of Micheal Jackson "Beat it", "Billie Jean", "Black or White"...That's when I bought my first cassette...MICHEAL JACKSON: DANGEROUS...
and I listened to him day in day out...
Other dance tracks like Tribal Dance, Twilight zone and later Backstreet Boys songs like "Everybody" became a craze...i got more cassettes...
By the time I finished my schooling, I had a collection of Micheal Jackson and Backstreet Boys plus my dad's collection of Bee Gees, Eagles, few old Hindi hits of Kishore Kumar, Asha Bhonsle ,Lata Mangeshkar and some spiritual stuff which I never bothered to listen...

But once I entered college...I ventured deeper into the world of music...
My friend made me listen to "In the end" by Linkin park and "Take a look around" by Limp Bizkit...
That is when I bought my first Linkin Park cassette "Hybrid Theory" then Meteora...
by that time I got a computer and started to listen to online music and got CDs and mp3s....

Listening to only these two bands made life monotonous...and I happened to listen to "Nothing else matters" by Metallica...this song completely turned things around and "Rock n Metal" was what got me going!...
I got hold of all of Metallica's songs...then a new channel VH1 came up where I heard "Iron Maiden"...."Fear of the dark" , "hallowed be thy name"...such meaningful songs with amazing guitarwork, lyrics and vocals fascinated me...
One thing led to another and then I came across bands like Creed, Dream-theater, ACDC, Deep Purple, Queen and LED ZEPPELIN...
Songs like "Stairway to heaven" by led zepp, "nothing else matters" by metallica, "comfortably numb", "the wall" by Pink floyd, "Metropolis" by Dream theater, "my sacrifice" by creed, "highway star" by Deep purple, "Hallowed be thy name" by Iron maiden, "November Rain" by Guns n Roses, "Back in Black" by AC/DC...all signify an excellent portrayal of brilliant guitarwork, meaningful lyrics, flawless vocals and above all a TRIBUTE to the world of ROCK
